Pearse MacDermottPartnerPearse graduated from Queen’s University Belfast in 1988, was admitted to the role of Solicitors in 1990, and qualified as a Solicitor Advocate in 2004.
Specialising in Criminal and Public Law, he has a vast experience in Prison Law and in particular representing Life sentence Prisoners before the Parole Commission. Pearse led the firm’s team in the Bloody Sunday Inquiry and also headed up the firm at the Hyponatremia Inquiry. He has also successfully represented clients in the House of Lords and has appeared before the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg. Pearse has been a member of the Law Society’s Criminal law Committee since 1994 and has also been PRO of the Solicitors Criminal Association since 1993. |
